All Junior Championships get go Ahead

Despite the bad weather and severe flooding in the south of the country, the All Ireland Junior Championships will take place in Fermoy on Saturday 28th November. Competitors will vie for National titles in singles at Under 11, 13, 15, 17 & 21. On Sunday morning the Irish Junior Team to compete in World Junior Championships will have their final training session before departure for Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in December 11th





Young Guns come out on top at Baliinrobe

For Sean Keane (Fermoy)and Clodagh McManamon (Newport), it as a memorable 5th Ballinrobe Open when both seventeen year olds who the Open Singles competitions. In the Mens Open Singles Sean defeated the legendary Noel O`Callaghan(Fermoy) by 2 games to 1 in a close final to win his first Open Singles while Clodagh overcame her club mate Donna Ryder to win her third Open Singles event.In the Doubles, Jimmy Gannon and Noel O`Callaghan pulled off a 2-1 victory over Sean Keane and Joe Dillon while the Womens Doubles winners were the McManamon twins Ciara and Clodagh. Other winners were, Niall Nevin (Templederry) in the Mens B/C Singles, Keith Gallogley (Youghal)in the Mens D Singles and Martin J Potter (Annaghdown) in the Mens Novice Singles





Belgian Open in Brussels 21st & 22nd Nov

RAI Grant for travel to ERT Events

Grants of up to €100 are now available to assist players with the cost of travelling to overseas competitions on the European Racquetball Tour. The number of grants is limited and will be awarded based on the following conditions on a first come first served basis.Players must be affiliated to the RAI or a member of an affiliated club. The event must be a non Ireland ERT event. Players should apply in writing (post or email) to Gary Lynch or Jimmy Gannon prior to booking their travel. Grants will only be paid after the event on confirmation that the player competed. All grades of player may apply.
The decision to award a grant and the amount of any grant are at the sole discretion of the RAI.

Catalan Open - November 6-8
Belgian Open 21st - 22nd November
