2009 European Championships

The European Racquetball Federation (ERF) granted the 15th ERF European Racquetball Championships 2009 to Paris, France. Players from 10 countries will be expected to compete on 3rd - 8th of August for European gold medals in individual and team competition. In addition, senior and junior championships will also be held at the same time.

Next up is Moylagh Open

The next tournament on the list is the 14th Moylagh Open which will be held in Moylagh and Oldcastle Co Meath on the 7th & 8th February. This is a popular tournament with the players and will have the usual skill divisions from Open Singles to Novice singles. Elma Gibney is the Tournament Director. Adam Neary wins Leinster Open

At the Leinster Open in Moylagh, Co Meath, Adam Neary(Arklow) won his second Mens Open Singles when defeated current National Champion Liam Hughes(Fermoy) by 2 games to 1.
In the Womens Singles, it as a contest between Newport twin sisters Ciara and Clodagh McManamon and on this occasion it was Clodagh who was the winner by 2 games to 0





National Junior B Championships

The Junior B All-Ireland's which will be held in Arklow on 24th and 25the January 2009. There will competition for boys and girls in Under 10, 12, 14 16 & 18 singles. Players who have previously won a Junior B event are excluded as well as players who have won gold and silver medals in the National Junior Championships. Where there are 8 or more entries in an age group first round losers will have the opportunity to play for and All Ireland C Championships medal.

Cliff Swain to play French Open in Paris

Coming up soon is the 2009 edition of the French Open in Racquetball. This year, legendary Cliff Swain (USA) and Patrick Jauvin (No. 15 in Canada) and most of the best European players will compete in the first European Racquetball event of the new year. Cliff will conduct clinics on January 16th. You will have at this time the rare opportunity to play one game with Cliff. For details of the event please click on the link below
